为提升本科学生国际交流能力，了解计算机领域的前沿发展，信息学院特别聘请英国Brunel大学的Peter Thomas教授为我校学生开设《人机交互导论》课程。欢迎广大同学选修！

主讲教师 Peter Thomas 简介：
博士，曾经就读于利兹，剑桥和赫尔大学，32岁成为信息管理学教授。他建立了世界第一个研究中心，研究移动和个人通信中的人为因素。随后成为澳大利亚研究所的执行主任。主要研究领域为人机交互，用户体验，物联网，普适计算等。曾主持多项研究和咨询项目，发表150多篇学术论文，曾就任英国富时100指数的全球性任务管理公司的电子业务部门的首席技术官，目前是个人和普适计算（PUC）SCI国际期刊和并行移动计算（COMC）通讯期刊的主编。
课程内容介绍：Introduction to Human Computer Interaction
This type of course is now an essential part of computer science curricula in Western universities. It would cover what student needs to know to create software that is used by people. The course is aimed at undergraduates in computer science at all levels. This course would have 5 components, each lasting 4 hours, which would run in one week:
1.1 Introduction to Human Computer Interaction
The basic ideas and research on how to think about the users of software. Students will be asked to choose a software product that they will develop in the following classes.
1.2 Design
Focusing on new approaches to design thinking, processes, and tools. Students learn the importance of learn the importance of making many design artifacts before focusing on a final design.
1.3 Prototyping
Students produce prototypes of software products including paper sketches, concept videos, wireframes and code running on a target platform.
1.4 Evaluation
Students learn and use evaluation techniques including expert evaluation and usability testing.
1.5 Bringing a product to market
Students learn about the key issues in understanding the market for their products.
